Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Compression happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is sent anywhere — you can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.

Why did my PNG barely shrink?

PNG is a lossless format, so compression is limited. If the image is a photograph (rather than a logo or a screenshot with transparency), convert it to JPG or WebP — you will usually get a file 70–90% smaller.

What is the difference between "down for you" and"down for everyone"?

We check from two points: your own browser and a neutral outside server. If the outside server reaches the site and you do not, the problem is probably on your network (DNS, a block, a VPN). If both fail, the site is most likely genuinely down.

How do I see the SSL certificate's expiry date?

Browsers do not expose certificate details to JavaScript, so this check confirms that the certificate is accepted and valid. For full details (issuer, expiry, grade), follow the full-report link shown in the result.
